Life of Pi Ep.76: Play pretty and Grandpa's rocking chair stops.
A musical fidget slider plays Satie's Gymnopédie No. 1 one push at a time over the creak of a rocking chair, and every pretty phrase makes Grandpa stop to listen. This is an echoPi video. echoPi is an EDC fidget slider and pocketable instrument: its clicks are real physical stops you can set up in the app, and every click can play a note. Turn the sound off and it becomes a quiet fidget for the office. echoPi is in development.

Grandpa's rocking chair creaks. Play something pretty and it stops.
At dusk on the porch, Grandpa's rocking chair creaks along like a left hand. Pi plays along on the rail, and every time a phrase turns out pretty, Grandpa stops rocking to listen. So Pi plays prettier and prettier. On the prettiest note Grandpa stands up to hear it, the empty chair swings back, hits the door, and keeps the beat all by itself.
Music: Satie, Gymnopédie No. 1 (1888, public domain), own arrangement.
