Life of Pi Ep.65: He left the copier lid open. Pi had ideas.

Published · 32s

A musical fidget slider dances on an open copier, one click per pose, and the copies turn into a flipbook. This is an echoPi video. echoPi is an EDC fidget slider and pocketable instrument: its clicks are real physical stops you can set up in the app, and every click can play a note. Turn the sound off and it becomes a quiet fidget for the office. echoPi is in development.

One click, one copy

Pi is standing on the glass of an open copier. Every time the scan light passes under his feet, the machine clicks, and out comes a copy of whatever pose he is striking. So he starts dancing. Faster and bigger, until one huge jump sends the whole stack toppling across the desk. The owner comes back, picks up the stack, flips through it, and it is a flipbook of Pi's dance. Then he presses Copy again.

Music: Offenbach, Orpheus in the Underworld, Can-can (1858, public domain), own arrangement.
