Life of Pi Ep.74: He blocked every scare. His own hiccup let one in.

Published · 33s

A musical fidget slider plays Beethoven's Fifth one push at a time, with a DUM landing on every hiccup, until the biggest hiccup meets the highest note. This is an echoPi video. echoPi is an EDC fidget slider and pocketable instrument: its clicks are real physical stops you can set up in the app, and every click can play a note. Turn the sound off and it becomes a quiet fidget for the office. echoPi is in development.

He blocked every scare. His own hiccup let one in.

His roommate has the hiccups, and every one lands on Pi's beat: Beethoven's Fifth, a DUM on every hic. Pi tries to scare them away, but he's spotted mid-pounce and the roommate clamps his ears shut. So Pi gives up and keeps playing. Then the biggest hiccup of all throws his arms open, and Pi slams the highest note at that exact moment. Silence. The hiccups are gone. Now one crouch from Pi is enough to make him hold his soda at arm's length.

Music: Beethoven, Symphony No. 5, opening (1808, public domain), own arrangement.
