Life of Pi Ep.52: The alarm couldn't wake him. Pi's music couldn't either. Silence did.
A musical fidget slider plays louder and louder to wake a sleeper who ignores his alarm, until silence does the job. This is an echoPi video. echoPi is an EDC fidget slider and pocketable instrument: its clicks are real physical stops you can set up in the app, and every click can play a note. Turn the sound off and it becomes a quiet fidget for the office. echoPi is in development.

The louder he plays, the deeper he sleeps
An alarm clock rings. The sleeper slaps snooze and keeps sleeping. Pi plays louder and louder; the louder he plays, the deeper the man sleeps. Pi jumps for the biggest note of all. Nothing. Then the clock stops, the room goes quiet, and the man sits bolt upright. Now Pi just has to press his lid.
Music: Haydn, Symphony No. 94 "Surprise", second movement theme (1791, public domain), own arrangement.
