Life of Pi Ep.47: He kept the hallway light on for his neighbor. Then the wind came.
A musical fidget slider keeps a motion-sensor hallway light on, one note per push, while the neighbor finds his keys. This is an echoPi video. echoPi is an EDC fidget slider and pocketable instrument: its clicks are real physical stops you can set up in the app, and every click can play a note. Turn the sound off and it becomes a quiet fidget for the office. echoPi is in development.

One note per try
Midnight. The motion light keeps clicking off on the neighbor fumbling with his keys, so Pi plays to keep it on, one note per try. Faster and faster, the whole stairwell lights up. The lock clicks, the neighbor slips inside. Then a draft slams Pi's own door.
Music: Grieg, In the Hall of the Mountain King from Peer Gynt (1875, public domain), own arrangement.
