Custom Fidget Slider Guide 2026: Engraving to Bespoke

"Custom" gets used for five very different things in the fidget world. Sometimes it means your initials laser-etched on a slider you already own. Sometimes it means a craftsman has resin-sealed and hand-carved one, and sometimes it means 300 units with a company logo. The price, the wait and what actually changes are different for each, so work out which one you mean before you start emailing makers.

Everything below comes from maker and retailer pages we checked in late September 2026. Custom services change often, so treat the numbers as a snapshot.

The five routes at a glance

There's a sixth route, doing it yourself, which is the only one that can change the feel. It's covered further down.

1. Engraving from the maker

This is the cleanest option if you want a name, a date or a short line on a slider you like. The maker knows the material and has the fixture to hold its own part.

• Novel Carry runs a stand-alone engraving service for its own sliders: $30 for one side, $5 more for the second, up to 25 characters per side. You mail the slider to Charlotte, NC, and they engrave it in 3–5 business days from the day it arrives. Domestic return shipping is included; international orders add a flat $15. Two catches: it's only for Novel Carry sliders, and they "cannot engrave Resin sliders at this time." Your label also has to include the suite number, "STE C5 #152," or the package "may be delayed or may not reach us at all."
• EDC Titan takes engraving text in the cart's order notes: "Max 15 characters. Engraving color is fixed." If they don't get your text within 15 days, they ship without it (EDC Titan). The Titan X Spin that page belongs to, a 106 g stainless piece at $155, was sold out when we checked.

Engraving is permanent and changes nothing about how the slider feels. Keep the text short. Both of these services cap the length, and a date plus initials usually fits.

2. Swappable plates and buttons

Some sliders are built so the top surface comes off. That's customization you can undo, and swap again next month.

NXEDC's Candy Core is a TC4 titanium slider at $135 with a quick-release plate, and NXEDC sells official titanium color plates in five designs at $69 for two (NXEDC). Novel Carry's Delta Tile points owners to extra slide plates "to change up your Tile" (Novel Carry). Kickup's swappable thumb buttons are covered in our fidget slider with buttons guide.

The trade-off: you're limited to what the maker makes. Plates change the look and the texture under your thumb. The click stays the same.

3. Bespoke studio work

This is where "custom" starts to mean art. NXEDC sells finished bespoke versions of existing sliders, each described as "a secondary personalized creation by craftsmen based on brand new and genuine" stock:

• TITA: a resin-sealed "Purple Blue Crystal" version at $139, or hand-hammered carving with high-temperature coloring at $159. Both ship in 7 days (NXEDC).
• FliPoo: a "Nebula" resin finish with a gold or heat-sensitive logo, $149, ships in 15 days. You can add a letter-carving service for $8.90, up to 10 letters including spaces, emailed within 24 hours of ordering (NXEDC).
• Creation Mountain: textured titanium versions from $189 to $209, shipping in 3 to 7 days depending on design (NXEDC).
• FENG LING: a thermochromic version at $279.90 that shifts from black below 28°C through coffee, orange and green to dark blue above 34°C (NXEDC).

Read the small print on these. The original factory packaging is opened to do the work and resealed. Every piece is handmade, so "tiny blemishes or air bubbles may inevitably exist" and none will match the photo exactly. FENG LING's resin also shouldn't sit below 5°C for long, or it "may cause the resin to delaminate," so it's not one to leave in a winter car.

Kickup's hand-painted Triangular Slider Cerakote edition works the same way: "each piece is individually hand-painted." It's titanium, 30 mm × 10 mm and 30 g, and was $99 and sold out when we checked (Kickup).

4. Made-to-order printed sliders

If you want to choose the parts rather than decorate a finished one, 3D-printed shops are the most flexible and by far the cheapest. MozzieMakes' Customizable Fidget Slider lets you pick a size (Pill, Grande for $3.50 more, or Mega for $6.50 more), haptic or silent action, one of five textures for each half (Diamond, Honeycomb, Parallel, Tracks, Valley), and body and outline colors, including glow colors. It was $10.77 on sale from $15.39, with bulk pricing at 6 or more. The shop says orders are processed and shipped within 4–6 business days (MozzieMakes).

It's PLA, not titanium, and it feels like it. But it's the only route here where "silent or clicky" is something you choose. If you'd rather print your own, see our 3D printed fidget slider guide.

5. Logo orders for teams and events

Company gifts are their own business. Koala Wood offers a magnetic slider, oval or rectangular, with your logo engraved on the flat side, in "loud click or quiet glide" versions. It sends a mock-up and quote in 1–3 business days, quotes an average delivery of 7–14 days after approval, and says the minimum is "usually 50-100 pieces."

At factory scale, the OEM maker LYWJ builds zinc-alloy sliders from 100 units per design, and says fully custom runs with logo engraving and branded packaging "typically require 300–500 units minimum." Samples take 7 business days, custom orders 25–35 business days from artwork approval, and sea freight adds about 20–35 days. Plan a holiday order in the summer.

6. Doing it yourself

Engraving, paint and plates all change how a slider looks. If you want to change how it feels, you usually have to open it up. A few makers plan for this. The Delta Tile ships with a "magnet swap kit with magnets and cassette to swap to a weaker magnet setup," and NXEDC says the X3 Slider's counterweight "can be adjusted by oneself" (NXEDC). Recoloring is harder. Titanium color usually comes from anodizing, and our titanium fidget slider guide covers how anodized finishes hold up. If a slider isn't sold as user-serviceable, ask the maker before you take it apart.

Who doesn't do custom

Save yourself the email. Magnus Fidgets answers the question directly in its FAQ: "Do you take custom orders? No, at this stage we aren't set up to be able to take custom orders" (Magnus). Check a maker's FAQ first, then ask.

Picking the right route

• A gift with a name on it: maker engraving. It's quick and permanent, and the base slider is one you already know is good.
• You get bored of how things look: swappable plates.
• A one-off piece to keep: studio bespoke, if you accept handmade variation.
• Twenty people at a team offsite: a logo order, placed early.
• You want it to feel different: magnets, springs or a different slider. Surface work won't do it.

Common mistakes

• Mailing a slider without the full address line. Novel Carry says packages missing the suite number may never arrive.
• Writing too much. 25 characters per side at Novel Carry, 15 at EDC Titan, 10 letters for NXEDC's add-on.
• Forgetting the follow-up email. NXEDC wants your letters within 24 hours; EDC Titan ships blank after 15 days.
• Expecting the photo. Handmade resin and carving vary piece to piece by design.
• Asking engraving to fix the feel. It won't. Pick the mechanism first, then the look.
