Olight vs Nitecore: Flashlight Brands Compared (2026)
Neither wins outright. Olight sells direct with magnetic charging and a lifetime warranty; Nitecore sells through dealers, with USB-C and much brighter flat lights. The closest pairing is Arkfeld Pro at $89.99 against EDC17 at $94.95.
How we put this together
Every fact below comes from Olight's or Nitecore's own pages, or from Nitecore Store, which describes itself as Nitecore's official U.S. distributor, opened on October 1, 2026. We didn't test any of these lights. Prices are what each store listed that day, and Olight runs frequent promotions. For what lumens, candela and beam distance mean, read our EDC flashlight guide; this page compares the two brands.
Where the brands come from
Both brands say they were founded in 2007, and both run Chinese operations, though not from the same city.
Olight. Its about page says it set up Olight USA in 2016 and keeps warehouses in China, the U.S., Australia, Germany and France. Its contact page lists a China office in Shenzhen's Bao'an district, beside offices in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Europe, Japan, Korea and Thailand. Its Chinese site names 傲雷科技集团股份有限公司 and describes a factory in Dongguan. Its dealer page, though, says stock ships "direct from our US-based headquarters," so Olight's own pages don't point to one home base.
Nitecore. Its about page says it was born from "flashlight enthusiasts and experienced outdoor adventurers" and says its LR7 marked "the beginning of China's LED lighting market." Its contact page gives SYSMAX Innovations Co., Ltd. at an address in Haizhu District, Guangzhou, and its Chinese site names 广州希脉创新科技有限公司 at the same address. If you've read that both brands are from Shenzhen, only Olight's own contact page supports it; Nitecore's says Guangzhou.
Two different habits
Olight runs many families: Baton (small), Warrior (round), Arkfeld and ArkPro (flat), i-series keychain lights, Seeker (large). Charging is its signature. Its history list credits the S10R in 2014 as the first magnetic rechargeable light in the Baton series, and the Arkfeld Pro still charges only through Olight's own magnetic cable, which Olight sells at $7.99. Newer lights add USB-C. It also sells on materials and looks: O-aluminum, limited colorways and laser engraving.
Nitecore lists flashlight series by letter (EDC, P, E, MH, MT, NPL, T and more) and also sells headlamps, power banks, mosquito repellers and fans. Its EDC series is flat: the EDC17, EDC29 and EDC37 have stainless steel bodies with PVD coating and USB-C ports, and the two larger ones add an OLED readout. The P10i and P20iX are round aluminum lights built around a 21700 cell and rated IP68. Nitecore leans on output and displays; Olight's flat lights spend their space on extra light sources.
Four pairings
Beam distances marked * are Nitecore's figures for a 3,000-lumen mode, not max output.

| Nitecore EDC17 | 1,500 | 230 m | USB-C | $94.95 | |
| Brightest flat light | Olight ArkPro | 1,500 flood, 800 spot | 205 m (spot) | USB-C and magnetic dock | $129.99 |

| Olight Baton 4 | 1,300 | 170 m | Case in the kit | $94.99 | |
| Nitecore TIP3 | 720 | 92 m | USB-C | $34.95 |
Olight prices are from olight.com; Nitecore prices are from Nitecore Store, which calls itself the official U.S. distributor. The Baton 4 price is for the Premium Edition kit.
Flat three-in-one: Arkfeld Pro vs EDC17
This is the closest match in the two catalogs. Both put white light, UV and a green laser in a flat body: 111 g and 120 mm for Olight, 106 g and 123 mm for Nitecore, each with a built-in 1,500 mAh cell, and both are listed at IPX7. Olight uses aluminum alloy, a glass lens and a thumb selector. Nitecore uses stainless steel, a slide switch plus an M button, and a detachable ceramic tip. Nitecore lists the stronger UV, up to 1,350 mW against Olight's 900 mW, and a far longer reach: 12,400 cd and 230 m against 2,608 cd and 102 m. Both lasers are Class 3R, so never aim one at eyes, vehicles or aircraft. The Arkfeld Ultra, at $119.99, moves Olight to a tougher O-aluminum body.
Brightest flat light: ArkPro vs EDC29 and EDC37
Here the brands diverge. ArkPro lists a 1,500-lumen flood, an 800-lumen spot reaching 205 m, UV and a green beam, with a built-in magnetic base. The EDC29 and EDC37 use two LEDs for 6,500 and 8,000 lumens, and the EDC37 adds an 8,000 mAh cell and 18 W USB-C at 199 g. The catch is water: Nitecore rates both IP54, against IPX7 on the Arkfeld Pro. If you want the brightest pocket light, Nitecore's list is stronger. If you want one pocket tool with several beams, Olight's is.
Round lights: Warrior X 4 vs P20iX
The prices are close, $129.99 with a holster for Olight and $119.95 for Nitecore, but the beams are tuned opposite ways. The Warrior X 4 lists 2,600 lumens at 99,310 cd and 630 m, a long-reach beam. The P20iX lists more lumens, 4,000 from four LEDs, at 12,200 cd and 221 m, a wider one. Candela is the number that predicts reach. The P20iX includes a 5,000 mAh 21700 cell at 116 g and is rated IP68. The smaller P10i is 84 g and $79.95. Olight's Warrior Ultra, in O-aluminum at 2,500 lumens, is $139.99.
Small lights: i3E EOS, Baton 4, TIP3
Olight is the one with a single-AAA light: the i3E EOS twists on at 90 lumens for $12.99. Nitecore's TIP3 trades the AAA for a built-in 650 mAh cell with USB-C, 720 lumens at 30 g, and three color temperatures, and its TINI3 is 600 lumens at 20 g for $39.95. The Baton 4 is a different class: 1,300 lumens and 170 m, with a 5,000 mAh charging case in the $94.99 kit.
Warranty side by side
| Olight | Nitecore | |
|---|---|---|
| Main promise | Lifetime warranty on flashlights, built-in battery, LED, charging system and optics; transferable, no fees | 24 months with a built-in battery, 60 months without, then limited lifetime for labor |
| Who it covers | Products bought after 2023 | Service runs through authorized dealers; other sellers add fees |
| Accessories | Magnetic cables 1 year; clips, holsters, lanyards none | Excluded from the limited lifetime |
| Claim route | Online form with serial number and photos; proof of purchase if you have it | Through your dealer or distributor, with an RMA from service@nitecore.com |
| Returns | 30-day money-back, unused and in original packaging | 15-day exchange for DOA or defective units |
| Not covered | Loss, misuse, cosmetic wear, ordinary battery aging | Appearance, battery leakage damage, unauthorized repair, defaced serial |
Olight's is the more generous promise and has a direct online claim. Its about page says it offers the lifetime warranty "in key markets," so confirm your country is covered. Nitecore's adds a step through the dealer, and charges round-trip shipping plus 3% of the official retail price if you bought from an unauthorized seller. The 24-month period applies to built-in-battery lights such as the EDC17 and EDC37; its page doesn't say which period a removable 21700 light falls under, so read the manual.
Where to buy
